A TRADUÇÃO DA POÉTICA DE TROIS FEMMES PUISSANTES DE MARIE NDIAYE

Abstract

Ce travail porte sur la traduction du roman Trois Femmes Puissantes, de Marie Ndiaye, (2009, Gallimard) intitulé Três Mulheres Fortes, au Brésil, publiée par Cosac Naify en 2013 et traduit par Paulo Neves. Les principales questions dont on traitera dans cette investigation sont des thèmes comme identité, appartenance, exil, migration et famille, tous des thèmes centraux dans l’œuvre de Marie Ndiaye. Dans un premier temps, dans notre recherche, nous présenterons l'écrivain, la scène littéraire dans laquelle elle est apparue, lors de ses débuts, sa trajectoire et sa consécration ultérieures jusqu'à la publication au Brésil du roman dont nous traiterons. Ensuite, nous aborderons quelques théories de la traduction et de la littérature, comme Antoine Berman et son éthique de la traduction, Umberto Eco avec ses commentaires sur des différentes expériences traductoires et la théorie de Paul Ricœur sur la nature des récits, qui nous serviront d'outils pour comprendre l'écriture de cet auteur et de ce roman en particulier. La troisième section de notre recherche, la partie principale de ce travail, apportera nos propres investigations sur le cadre de l'intrigue de ce roman, accompagnées d'une analyse et des commentaires sur la traduction brésilienne de Paulo Neves.

This work deals with the translation of the novel Trois Femmes Puissants, by Marie Ndiaye, (2009, Gallimard) entitled Três Mulheres Fortes, in Brazil, published by Cosac Naify in 2013 and translated by Paulo Neves. The main issues that will be addressed in this investigation are themes such as identity, belonging, exile, migration and family, all central themes in Marie Ndiaye's work. First, in our research, we will present the writer, the literary scene in which she appeared, during her debut, her trajectory and subsequent consecration until the publication in Brazil of the novel we will discuss. Then, we will discuss some theories of translation and literature, such as Antoine Berman and his ethics of translation, Umberto Eco with his comments on different translation experiences and Paul Ricœur's theory on the nature of narratives, which will serve as tools to understand the writing of this author and this novel in particular. The third section of our research, the main part of this work, will provide our own investigations on the framework of the plot of this novel, accompanied by an analysis and comments on Paulo Neves' Brazilian translation.
