Genética da conservação de espécies frutíferas do Cerrado: Uma análise Cienciométrica

Abstract

The reduction of the places of occurrence of the flora of the Cerrado, due to the advance of agriculture and livestock, is one of the main factors that threaten the fruit species of this biome. Given this context, conservation genetics is indispensable, since it aims to generate information for conservation and management of natural resources. However, there are few data available in the literature on the genetics of the conservation of the fruit flora of the Cerrado. Thus, it is evident the need to expand research on this theme. Thus, it is interesting to approach, through quantitative techniques, the contributions and innovations of this area for the conservation of the genetic resources of these species. Therefore, the scientometric analysis is fundamental, because through this methodology it is possible to evaluate the scientific production through numerical indicators and identify the main trends and deficiencies about the problem. The objective of this study was to characterize the scientific production on the genetics of the conservation of the fruits of the Cerrado, in the period from 1945 to 2021, through a scientometric analysis. For this, a bibliographic survey was carried out in the Web of Science database, using the keywords "Fruit" AND "Cerrado". As a result, it was found that there are still few studies on the genetics of the conservation of these plants, thus evidencing a gap in the state of the art on the genetics of the conservation of the fruits of the Cerrado, although the present study notes the gradual increase of research on these species. Although scientific efforts have generated notorious knowledge about the genetics of fruit plants, there is still a huge diversity of species that need to be studied.
