Resumo: A violência é considerada problema de saúde pública e violação aos direitos humanos das mulheres. É reconhecidamente um fenômeno global que atinge todas as classes sociais, etnias, religiões e culturas, ocorrendo em populações de diferentes níveis de desenvolvimento econômico e social. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a violência praticada contra mulheres antes e durante a gestação nos municípios de Ribeirão Preto e São Luís. Foi realizado estudo descritivo para coortes do Pré-natal Brisa, nas duas cidades. As amostras foram de conveniência de mulheres com gravidez única e idade gestacional entre 22 e 25 semanas, 1446 em São Luís e 1378 em Ribeirão Preto. Foram analisadas as características sociodemográficas e hábitos de vida, bem como informações sobreviolência antes e durante a gestação. A análise descritiva das variáveis foi efetuada no software STATA/SE 14.0 e apresentada em forma de frequências absolutas e relativas. A taxa de gestantes que sofreram violência de foi 54,95% em São Luís e 48,49% Ribeirão Preto, destas, 33,13% em São Luís e 27,83% em Ribeirão Preto haviam sofrido violêncianos 12 meses anteriores e continuaram a sofrer violência durante o período gestacional. Nos 12 meses anteriores a gestação, em São Luís, 36,40% das gestantes sofreram violência psicológica, 11,8% violência física e 2,60% sexual. Em Ribeirão Preto 32,10% sofreram violência psicológica, 9,40% física e 2,10% sexual. Durante o período gestacional, em São Luís, 48,40% sofreram violência psicológica, 12,40% física e 2,80% sexual. Em Ribeirão Preto, 42,90% sofreram violência psicológica, 10,50% física e 2,10% sexual. O principal perpetrador da violência foi o parceiro íntimo. Em São Luís antes da gestação 49,45% e em Ribeirão Preto 54,51% dos atos de violencia foram praticados pelo parceiro íntimo. Durante a gestação em São Luís44,24% e em Ribeirão Preto 48,51% foram perpetrados pelo parceiro íntimo da gestante.
Abstract: Violence is considered a public health problem and a violation of women's human rights. It is recognized as a global phenomenon that affects all social classes, ethnicities, religions and cultures, occurring in populations of different levels of economic and social development. The objective of this study was to analyze the violence practiced against women before and during gestation in the municipalities of Ribeirão Preto and São Luís. A descriptive study was performed for cohorts of Prenatal Brisa in both cities. The samples were of convenience of women with single pregnancy and gestational age between 22 and 25 weeks, 1446 in São Luís and 1378 in Ribeirão Preto. Sociodemographic characteristics and life habits were analyzed, as well as information on violence before and during gestation.The descriptive analysis of the variables was performed in the software STATA / SE 14.0 and presented in the form of absolute and relative frequencies. The rate of pregnant women who suffered violence was 54.95% in São Luís and 48.49% in Ribeirão Preto, 33.13% in São Luís and 27.83% in Ribeirão Preto. They had suffered violence in the previous 12 months and continued to suffer violence during the gestational period. In the 12 months beforegestation, in São Luís, 36.40% of the pregnant women suffered psychological violence, 11.8% physical violence and 2.60% sexual violence. In Ribeirão Preto 32.10% suffered psychological violence, 9.40% physical and 2.10% sexual. During the gestational period, in São Luís, 48.40% suffered psychological violence, 12.40% physical and 2.80% sexual violence. In Ribeirão Preto, 42.90% suffered psychological violence, 10.50% physical and 2.10% sexual violence. The main perpetrator of violence was the intimate partner. In São Luís before gestation49.45% and in Ribeirão Preto 54.51% of the acts of violence were practiced by the intimate partner. During gestation in São Luís 44.24% and in Ribeirão Preto 48.51% were perpetrated by the intimate partner of the pregnant woman.
