Abstract: The present study presents, as main focus, a discussion on the concept of function
brought by the textbooks of the “New High School” approved by public schools in the
country in the PNLD of 2021 program. academically and for society, a research was
carried out in three mathematics textbooks of the New High School, in order to
analyze how the subject is introduced to high school students. The analysis was
based on the needs mentioned in the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC) and
making a connection with the Theory of Meaningful Learning (TAS). During the work,
it was possible to perceive the relevance of analyzing a textbook, since it is one of
the main tools used in the classroom, which aims to facilitate the teaching process
and the learning process. By not being in agreement with the objectives outlined by
the teacher, distancing itself from the teaching proposal and limiting the possibilities
of exploring the concepts, the textbook may not fulfill its role of supporting the
teacher and the student in the teaching process and learning. For the study, a
qualitative approach was used to analyze the definitions, representations,
exemplifications and approaches to the theme, presenting considerations and
conclusions regarding the referred subject.

who discuss and describe the studies cited above bibliographically, being of paramount
importance the application of mathematical studies in the construction of Mathematics Education, even if abstract, however planned by the student.

Abstract: The health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil and the world has
brought critical challenges for humanity. Regarding Basic Education, it was no different,
as the teaching and learning process underwent unprecedented and significant
transformations, thus emerging natural needs for students and teachers to know,
analyze, describe and study methodological actions during the period of
implementation of Emergency Remote Education. In this way, concepts and
methodologies about remote education are discussed to support and qualify the
pedagogical practices adopted to develop non-face-to-face activities. For this purpose,
we used bibliographic and documentary research in books, scientific articles, official
documents, technical notes, and data obtained from the lesson plans and reports
prepared by the teacher who developed the remote activities. Finally, the data analyzed
are the result of pedagogical practices adopted in Mathematics classes of the 9th grade
(last year of middle school in Brazil). The results reveal that remote teaching is a real
challenge for the current pedagogical practice, demanding new teaching
methodologies in which the use of digital information and communication technology
is essential, modeling the role of the teacher and the student, and resignifying the
concepts and practices of teaching and learning. In conclusion, the present work
demonstrates that new paths lead to the permanence of remote teaching and its
methodologies, even with the return of face-to-face classes.

Título: Resolução de problemas de geometria no ensino médio: uma análise de erros em provas da OBMEP no Maranhão

Abstract: This work aims to support Mathematics teachers in the production of their teaching work
plan, based on the results and discussions presented, as well as to promote the debate
about the quality of geometry teaching in High School, through the analysis and
classification of errors in the evidence of the second phase of OBMEP. For this purpose,
100 tests were randomly selected and, subsequently, question 4, which involves
knowledge related to geometry, was analyzed. The research is of a quanti-qualitative
character in which the errors present in the solutions given by the students were classified,
following as a basis the error methodology used by Radatz (1979), with theoretical
assumptions by Cury (2007), in order to provide a systematic research in which students'
mistakes can be questioned, analyzing and seeking to understand their causes. At the
end of the research it can be seen that most students understand the Pythagorean
Theorem, however they have difficulties in its application, in addition to the great difficulty
about the use of algebra in geometric problems.
