Abstract: The training of workers for the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) occupies a
strategic position in the debate on the qualification of health practices and the
strengthening of the principles of the Brazilian Health Reform. In this context, the
Integrated Multiprofessional Health Residency (RIMS) constitutes an important

modality of in-service training, articulating teaching, work, and health care, con-
solidating itself as a training strategy in expansion in the country. However, these

training processes develop in a context marked by profound transformations in
the world of work and by changes in the management of public health policies,

particularly in university hospitals. The incorporation of management mecha-
nisms inspired by business rationality, expressed by the actions of the Brazilian

Hospital Services Company, highlights the coexistence of different conceptions

of education and work in health. In this scenario, it becomes necessary to inves-
tigate how the training of health professionals, including social workers, whose

work, in line with the ethical-political project of the profession, is committed to the

defense of health as a universal right, has been oriented. Furthermore, consider-
ing that the RIMS (Integrated Rehabilitation of Health Practices) proposes the

transformation of health practices through on-the-job training and learning built

within the work process itself, it becomes pertinent to reflect on work as an edu-
cational principle and on the conceptions that guide this training. It is in this con-
text that the RIMS of the University Hospital of the Federal University of Mara-
nhão (HU-UFMA) is situated, a reference institution in the state both in healthcare

and in the training of professionals through undergraduate, multi-professional,

uni-professional, and medical residencies. Therefore, this research aimed to an-
alyze the conceptions of education and work present in the Political-Pedagogical

Projects (PPPs) of the RIMS at HU-UFMA.To this end, the historical-dialectical

materialism method was adopted, developing bibliographic and documentary re-
search. Currently, the RIMS (Regional Interdisciplinary Program in Health) of HU-
UFMA (University Hospital of the Federal University of Maranhão) is organized

into nine PPPs (Pedagogical Projects), distributed across different areas of con-
centration. From this set, five PPPs were selected for analysis, as they include

social workers among the professions that are part of the program's multidiscipli-
nary teams. The results show that the analyzed PPPs are predominantly based

on the principles of Continuing Education in Health, valuing learning built from

concrete work experiences, the integration of teaching and service, and multidis-
ciplinary action. However, the analysis also revealed the presence of tensions

and contradictions, especially related to the incorporation of managerial mecha-
nisms characteristic of business logic, such as the adoption of competency-based
pedagogy, which tends to reinforce pragmatic and technicist perspectives of

training. These elements express the coexistence of distinct training and man-
agement projects within the multiprofessional residency program, which, on the
one hand, reflect critical, emancipatory perspectives committed to the principles
of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), and, on the other hand, reproduce
trends in productivity, performance, and rationalization of work processes.

Abstract: This dissertation investigates the scope and challenges of intersectorality in the
implementation of public policies for promoting racial equality carried out by the
Maranhão State Secretariat for Racial Equality (SEIR/MA) between 2010 and 2025.
To this end, we established a theoretical-methodological framework addressing the
categories of racial equality, intersectorality, public policy, and SEIR/MA, as well as the

concepts of structural racism and institutional racism. We adopted the historical-
dialectical materialist approach as our method. To achieve the research results, we

employed a qualitative approach, combining documentary research with fieldwork. The
documentary phase involved analyzing legislation, plans, reports, regulations, and
other institutional documents at both national and state levels regarding racial equality
policies implemented by SEIR/MA during the period under study. Additionally,
interviews were conducted with four Secretariat staff members, selected based on their
roles in formulating and implementing institutional actions. Initially, we outlined the
historical, social, and legal landscape of ethnic-racial issues and social policies,
emphasizing intersectorality and the promotion of racial equality. Next, we presented
the trajectory of SEIR/MA and the Racial Equality Policy in Maranhão, considering
social pressure, institutional limitations, and the challenges of consolidating the policy.
We analyzed intersectorality within SEIR/MA, examining the tension between political
coordination and structural limitations. Finally, we conclude that intersectorality often
runs up against bureaucratic barriers that tolerate the management of deprivation but
resist changes to land ownership and the genuine redistribution of power and
resources. The interviews provided insight into the subjects' perceptions of
intersectorality, contributing to an understanding of the advances, challenges, and
limitations involved in coordinating the public policies analyzed.

Abstract: This dissertation focuses on evaluating the possible impacts of the Popular Restaurants program
on food and nutrition insecurity among its users and on the promotion of family farming in the
municipalities of Caxias, Codó, Parnarama, and Afonso Cunha, in the state of Maranhão, Brazil.
Grounded in historical-dialectical materialism and adopting a mixed-methods approach with
methodological triangulation, the research combined structured questionnaires with restaurant
users, focus groups with family farmers, semi-structured interviews with key policy
stakeholders, on-site observations, and documentary analysis of management contracts.
Qualitative data were analyzed through thematic content analysis, with analytical categories
emerging from the dialectical movement between the theoretical framework and the empirical
material. The results indicate that the program is effective in its immediate assistential
dimension: 92.16% of users report that the program frees up part of the family budget, and over
72% report qualitative improvement in their diet. However, household-level food security
indicators show that the Popular Restaurants operate as a food containment instrument without
suppressing food insecurity in the domestic environment. In the production dimension, family
farmers are excluded from institutional purchases in favor of large wholesalers, in contradiction
with the program's intersectoral objectives. The analysis also identified a legal ambiguity in
recent contracts, where punitive clauses use the expression "up to 30%" rather than "at least
30%", establishing a ceiling instead of a mandatory floor for purchases from family agriculture.
It is concluded that the Popular Restaurants produce possible positive impacts confined to the
consumption dimension, without consolidating themselves as drivers of local family farming
development. Overcoming this limitation requires the State to act on two fronts: enforcing
contractual compliance and providing structural support for rural production through technical
assistance, land titling, and irrigation technologies.

Abstract: The need to understand how young people, immersed in the digital world, shape their
socialization processes calls for academic studies and research that explain this
landscape of fluid ties and constant connectivity. The topic is significant due to the
profound transformations digital technologies bring to behavioral patterns, social
interactions, and educational processes. This research aims to analyze the influence
of social networks on youth sociability from the perspective of high school students; to
this end, it addresses the sociology of youth through the views of Abramo (1994, 1997,
2009), Groppo (2017), and Dayrell (2003, 2016, 2021), among others. Sociability in
the virtual environment is analyzed from the perspectives of Bauman (2003, 2007,
2021, 2026), Debord (2003), Baudrillard (1991), and Maffesoli (1998), among others.
Network dynamics and the power of algorithms are discussed based on the studies of
Recuero (2009) and Pariser (2012). In the educational field, the study is guided by the
BNCC (National Common Curricular Base). The methodology employs an exploratory
approach, with quantitative data analysis. A semi-structured online questionnaire
(survey) consisting of 32 questions (via Google Forms) served as the data collection
instrument; it was administered to a purposive sample of 239 students from four state
public schools in São Luís, Maranhão. Data were processed using descriptive statistics
and visualized through Excel charts, without the inclusion of qualitative texts or
personal testimonials. The conclusions indicate that "youth" is a sociological concept
undergoing constant reconstruction; it is neither natural nor universal, as it carries
values and symbolic uses specific to each context. The school serves as an essential
space for transforming young people from passive consumers of data into active,
critical subjects. However, there is an observable asymmetry in access to technological
resources and quality connectivity that reflects historical socioeconomic inequalities,
particularly among lower-income populations. Social networks establish new forms of
social interaction with potential implications for youth behavior and mental health, and
social-media-mediated interaction has implications for traditional agents of
socialization, especially educational institutions.
